The grave digger had two more burials today

Last night we came home to find two baby birds crawling on the driveway.  After some online research we found the best thing to do was to find the nest and stick them back in.  Slight problem we couldn't find the nest.  The next best thing was to put as close to where they were in a support box and hope the mom would come find them.  I was skeptical but I followed the conservatory lady's instructions.  Yeah that didn't work and we had two more deaths on the farm.

Bunnies!

Drama on the farm

This morning was a bit hectic on the farm.  One of the chickens died and Chris had to do the deed of burying it.  We all stood around as he dug the hole.  A few shovels down and he noticed the ground started to move from underneath.  After a few panicked moments, he realized that there was a burrow of bunnies under there.  He pulled out 6 living bunnies, 1 died in the process of the hole digging. 

Here is what the neighbors heard this morning:

Me: Sobbing sounds and screaming at the kids to get away.
Luciano: "Dad, why did you kill the bunny?"  "Dad, why did you kill the bunny?"
Bella: "What a glorious day!  I have been waiting for this day.  They are too small I don't want to touch them."
Dad: Just shakes his head--a lot.

Well the bunnies are here and safely placed with their mom in the bunny hutch.

Mother's Day

Today, I picked the outing.  We took the new elevated train by our house to China Town for dinner.  It was nice to finally see the train complete and we realized it actually goes someplace I hate to drive--downtown.

Thanks to the family for the new camera.  Still need to figure out how to balance the settings but at least I have a camera now that is not my cell phone.

There was an outfit change along the way.  Bella got in the spirit and asked to wear her new outfit.  Here we are waiting for the train home.
