Saturday, we spent the entire afternoon at the pool.  Bella LOVED the water slide.  Luciano, not so much.

Luciano turned 4 on Saturday.  We celebrated all weekend at Disney and had a great time!  No one wanted to come home Sunday night.

Duck Egg

The duck started laying eggs.  We just realized we had these different shaped and colored ones and we finally put it together.  I will do a taste test tonight to see if I can tell the difference.

The egg hunt

Yeah this has nothing to do with the hunt but Bella and I were proud of our roses and arrangement.

Eden's whole family (Mom, Dad, Uncle, Aunt and Grandma) joined us this year and we all had a blast.  Thanks for celebrating the holiday with us!

Poor Chicken

Here is a partial view of the damage.  Most of the damage is located under the wing.  I am officially the crazy chicken lady.  I have been sleeping next to her side to make sure she is comfortable.  And surprisingly, Chris let her watch TV with us last night.  Poor chicken.  After seeing a plucked chicken, I'm not sure I can eat chicken again.

Chicken Update

I picked up Baby today and it is not pretty.  I had no idea how torn up her body was since I refused to look and the black feathers covered the mess.  I will post pics but I can't believe she was actually stitched up.  She must be in terrible pain unless those meds she gets make her feel real good.

The result

Bella had the stitches taken out today.  The Dr said it looks good and won't have a bad scar.  Bella was a bit scared at having them removed but once again she was a real trooper and enjoyed the ice cream and movie she got as a reward.

And tonight I made her take a bath.  I wasn't looking forward to her getting back to the scene of the crime but her feet stank so much I couldn't take it anymore.  It was a success!  No injuries.

Chicken Owie

"Halo Baby" or simply "Baby" almost lost her life last night.  She was attacked by a raccoon.  I rushed her to the hospital and they think she will be ok.  We can't eat her eggs anymore since she was pumped with meds so she needs to be moved to her own home.  I think I will put her with the duck so they can hang together.

UPDATE: She went into surgery and had MANY stitches today to sew her back up.  She comes home tomorrow and I have to learn how to change her bandages.  And for those of you who question by love for this chicken, I dare you to look into her eyes and mot see how cute she is.  And we raised her since day one when she arrived in a box.

This year's theme: Glitter

The kids had a blast decorating Easter Eggs with Eden today.  The kids (including Carolyn) loved coloring and glittering eggs and they came out fabulous.  Photos of the eggs to come tomorrow.

Relaxing is dangerous

Bella fell in the tub tonight and cracked open her chin.  She needed 6 stitches and was a real trooper.  Owie number two on my beautiful girl's face.

Color-Me-Mine

Bella had a birthday party to attend today so Luciano and I went out for lunch and decided to paint some pottery at the same complex.  We had a very nice time.  Luciano painted a Tow Mater and I painted a Snow White.  

Luciano was very careful to make sure he was using the right colors.  We googled pics of Mater and before each brush stroke he referenced the photos.

It took us over an hour and a half to finish up Mater.  We took a break and got Bella from the party and came back to finish up.

Yeah, I accidentally made Snow White look like she was on drugs by making her pupils too big. 

Bella joined us at the end and made a crazy colored kitty.

We get the finished pieces next weekend so we will see how they turned out.  We all enjoyed it so I have a feeling we will be back there real soon.
