Today's Harvest

This morning I harvested quite a few organic purple potatoes. This was my family's reaction.

Luciano: "I don't like those" & "Purple potatoes are scary".

Bella: "I don't like potatoes" after being reminded that french fries are made from potatoes, "Mom, can you grow those yellow potatoes?".

Chris: "Nice."

If I can get excited about my kids putting pee in the potty, at least my family can do is cheer when I pull out the day's harvest. Come on guys, get excited!

Luciano LOVES the King Triton merry-go-round.

Bella was bummed she had to ride the whale instead of the sea horse. When mom is in charge, we need to stick together and the sea horse was far away.

This is Luciano and Bella sharing the wheel on Autotopia. Bella was being a super big sister and letting Luciano take the wheel even though she really wanted to drive.

We are watching the Jedi training. As soon as the guy below (who I think is named Dark Mole) came out the kids were both trying to sit on my lap.

My neighbor hung these lights, but she never lights them. It drives me crazy so I think I am going to raise the height of my fence so I can't see them any more.

Tonight's goal: Make a healthy dinner with a majority of the ingredients we grew ourselves. The only thing we did not grow on this plate; beef, olive oil and cheese (in the tomato and cucumber salad).
